Colin Richards

Founder & President

Colin is the founder and president of Lord and Richards. Considered by many to be an “advisor to advisors,” Colin has trained hundreds of financial advisors across the country. His method of helping his clients achieve financial independence is one of the most innovative strategies in the retirement marketplace, and he has been quoted in media outlets across the country as a speaker, author, radio host, and personal investment advisor. Colin has passed the Series 65 securities exam and holds life insurance licenses in multiple states so he can assist his clients with advanced planning. In addition, Colin and his wife Kaye Dee created the Foundation for Global Education to provide Christian education and charity throughout the developing world.

Jason Weckel, CTS™


Jason is a Certified Tax Specialist™ and financial advisor with Lord and Richards, and is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining retirement plans for his clients. In addition to advising clients in multiple states, Jason has coached advisors across the country on ways to implement unique and powerful strategies to help their own clients through retirement successfully. More than anything, he enjoys seeing hard work and detailed plans come together to help allow people to live their lives to the fullest in retirement. Jason has passed the Series 65 securities exam, and also holds life insurance licenses in multiple states.

The Certified Tax Specialist (CTS) designation represents a course of study the advisor completed to enable them to more fully understand the impact of taxes on an individual's overall financial picture.


Kari Beers

Director of Operations

Kari Beers came to Lord and Richards after working several years in operations for a national fitness chain where she assisted in opening new facilities in the Denver metro area and in Nebraska, Kansas and Utah. Most recently, Kari worked five years in Douglas County at Ben Franklin Academy and Valor Christian High School. Being a farm girl at heart, she holds a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in agriculture and a minor in management. At Lord and Richards, she is instrumental in managing the office logistics and helping solve problems whenever they arise.

Kari and her husband, Ike, have been married for over 25 years and have four busy kids. When they are not chauffeuring kids to a practice or game, the family enjoys an occasional movie night, watching football and March Madness, and kayaking.


Charles Faulhaber, CFP®

Director of Financial Planning

Charles is a Certified Financial Planner™ and financial advisor with Lord and Richards. Starting in the financial services industry at the young age of 20, not long before the Great Recession of 2008-2009, Charles has learned over the past 15+ years the critical value of an integrated, holistic financial plan for clients to successfully weather the storms of investment volatility. Charles is a student of financial planning and in addition to the CFP®, he has amassed numerous certifications to keep abreast of the constantly evolving financial world to bring the best possible strategies and service to our clients. He also holds Colorado life and health licenses.

Charles and the love of his life, Erica, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in 2021. In his free time, he enjoys laughing with his wife, walking their two bullmastiffs, working out, and seeking truth through the Bible.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and CFP® in the U.S., which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.


Jesse Unruh, CTS™

Financial Advisor

Jesse holds a B.S. in Business administration, has passed the Series 65 examination and holds Colorado life and health insurance licenses. He works alongside our advisors to ensure our clients receive the highest level of personalized attention and service. Jesse also enjoys the challenge of building comprehensive plans and making sense of the many intricacies involved in a successful plan.

In his spare time, he greatly enjoys skiing, hunting, biking, or doing research on just about any subject.

Jay Wynn, CTS™

Financial Advisor

Jay is a Certified Tax Specialist™ and financial advisor with Lord and Richards and has earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He works with our team of advisors to create comprehensive financial planning solutions for clients in every walk of life. The process of developing a unique and adaptable retirement strategy for each individual is what most excites him at Lord & Richards. He has passed the Series 65 Securities exam and holds life and health insurance licenses in Colorado. When he’s not busy helping retirement dreams come true, Jay enjoys hiking through the great outdoors, eating delicious food, adventuring with friends, and visiting his home in South Carolina.

Tosha McMahan

Client Service Manager

Tosha McMahan has worked in the financial planning industry for over 15 years. Most recently she was an operations specialist at a large, registered investment advisory firm. She has a bachelor’s degree in public relations. Tosha loves meeting new clients and walking alongside them as they discover sophisticated strategies to meet their current and future financial needs.

She lives in Castle Rock with her husband and two children. When she is not at work, she is more than likely at the ballfield as both of her children play tournament baseball and softball. Her family also enjoys camping, biking, and exploring beautiful Colorado as they are transplants from Atlanta, Georgia.


Callie Graf

Client Service Specialist

Callie holds a B.S. in Business Administration and enjoys getting to know our clients by working on our client service team. Callie loves learning about our clients’ needs and answering questions throughout the day.

Since she moved here from a small town in the frozen tundra of Northern Minnesota, Callie enjoys exploring the beautiful areas in Colorado by hunting, fishing, and learning how big city life works.



Luke Gregory

Administrative Assistant

Luke Gregory has a background in business and finance and serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Lord and Richards Team. He has very diverse experience ranging from accounting and finance to professional golf instruction. Luke recently moved to Denver from the East Coast, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. His passion for business, and success as a collegiate golfer opened opportunities to advance his career here in the beautiful state of Colorado. After years of helping people achieve a better golf game, Luke has channeled his efforts and experience to serving individuals and helping them reach their financial goals.

Luke and His wife Holly met at college in Virginia and have now started their family here in Colorado. They have a beautiful daughter, Callie Grace, and as a family enjoy playing golf, watching sports and reading great books.
